OVERVIEW

The Douglas County Elections Department needs Poll Workers for 2024.  We are off to a good start with a completed, smooth Presidential Preference Primary; but we are in need of more community poll workers as we move into a Primary & General Elections 2024.

Ideal candidates shall be proficient in the operation of computers, be registered to vote in Nevada, not be a candidate during the election cycle, (or relative of candidate), consistently demonstrate good judgement, have good communication skills, critical thinking, and people skills. 

 2024 ELECTION EARLY VOTING  ELECTION DAY
Primary Election May 25 to June 7 June 11
General Election Oct. 19 thru Nov. 1 Nov. 5

Poll workers are paid $12.00 per hour, and are required to attend a paid four (4) hour training class and pass an assessment. Any additional training labs will also be paid.

All poll workers will be assigned to an Election Day Location, which begins at 6:00 AM and ends around 8:00 PM. There may be additional shifts available during early voting. We strive to assign election workers to the locations nearest to their communities.

    Douglas County has started its live streaming of Election Processing for the 2024 General Election. The feed can be found on the Douglas County YouTube Channel. The link to Election Processing will refresh every morning. Douglas County is not responsible for the loss of the feed due to internet/power outages, YouTube issues, or other technical problems.
