Online Voter Registration

Voters with a Nevada Driver's License can register to vote or update their current registration online with the Secretary of State

  • New Voter Registration
  • Update Your Existing Voter Registration
  • Cancel Your Existing Voter Registration
  • View Your Existing Voter Registration

If you do not have a Nevada Driver's License or ID, you can still complete an application form online, and mail the printed copy to our office for processing. Email [email protected], or call (775)783-6095 for more info. See below for additional voter registration options


 

Voter Registration Paper Form

If you are not eligible to register online, or prefer to register to vote using a paper form, you can complete a fillable Voter Registration Form and follow the steps below:

  • Answer all eligibility questions
  • Enter you personal information in the form fields
  • Print and then sign your Voter Registration Form
  • Mail or deliver the form in person to:

If you experience problems with accessing or filling out the online form, you can call the Secretary of State's office at (775) 684-5705, or email [email protected].

You are also able to stop by the Douglas County Office of Elections and complete the application in person. 


 

Changes to Your Current Registration

If you have moved, changed your name, or have changed your party affiliation, you submit another application form, either online or printed and turned in to the Office of Elections. To update your voter registration online, visit RegisterToVote.NV.gov.

You may register to vote at any NV Department of Motor Vehicles office, at your county clerk or registrar of voters' office, at various social service agencies, and on college campuses.

Preregistration for 17-year Olds

The 2017 legislature approved Senate Bill 144, which allows all U.S. citizens who are 17 years old but less than 18 years old to preregister to vote.  A person can preregister to vote using any of the means available for a person to register to vote, including online at www.RegisterToVote.NV.gov. A person who has preregistered to vote is automatically deemed registered to vote on his or her 18th birthday unless the person's preregistration is cancelled.
